Well, I thought it was appropriate considering we're on the topic of busting nuts.

I love the fact that pepsicock has somehow managed to derail their own thread...

I think there's been enough "popping up" in the thread for now....maybe if/as/when pepsicock has the balls to cum back again, we might be able to give him a hand.......

Maybe he should try corp.nude-lewd-man.co.uk ..?

Getting back on track here ...

Pepsi, you have to understand that we come from a much larger pool of knowledge when it comes to computers, operating systems, viruses, p2p software, etc. When we tell you it is running as a background process and stealing your bandwidth, we are not just saying it to make you feel better, we say it because we make that assertion based on the information you have provided coupled with our great wisdom.

To prove this theory, start your pron-quest, "close" the program, and then go to task manager and see if it is still running. all p2p programs require that "p" to be there and that p is PEER. Without you sharing your downloads, things done get shared as fast. To accomplish this, your program will go into stealth mode and "close" behind the scenes but still run so it can share.

Now, quick lesson on your average ADSL. ADSL typically has decent speeds BUT it has some limitations. you have to think of your internet connection as something of a figure 8. When you download lots of data, it widens that circle of the 8 and shrinks the upload side to compensate. The reverse will occur when you are uploading as well. There is no way to manage this without putting caps on what your computer specifically is accessing. Thus checking the settings of your p2p software to see if you have let it upload without a cap has come into play. Now, based on your general interactions with folks in this thread, it isnt hard for us to assume that you dont even know where this setting is or what its effect is. Just humor us and look for this setting.

Now, as for your line, you said that it was damaged and needed repairing. We have heard hide nor hear from you about this. Did they find any issues and get them fixed or not?

Now in all seriousness. IF you mention porn, busting nuts, or anything outside of software or hardware issues my assistance will end. Lets keep it professional ... or at the very least talk to us like you were addressing your parents.

Nemo,

I think I thought I knew what you're trying to say there about the figure of eight...but then you changed tact a bit.. The WAN link for xDSL is fixed - but some providers (like, for example, Be) can reduce your download portion in order to increase your upload; this brings me to what I thought you were going to say...

When you send data, or download some, if that data packet has been sent with TCP then you will see a packet being sent back - the confirmation, or "acknowledgement" packet...

Bear in mind that if some "channels" or frequencies within your up- or download section are damaged, then data packets going in that direction will be affected - but the packets travelling the other way might not be affected - apart from the speed the ack packets go back..

Now, as mentioned above, perhaps you could try to keep things civil; you never know, you might even find that people are more forthcoming when you don't slag them off and/or swear at them.. Personally, I swear like a ****ing trooper (even spent a few hours the other day swearing over YIM to my boss) and I'm prolly considered to be quite the pornaholic, but I tend to keep most things either in a 'SPAM' thread, in PMs or e-mail/text messages...

Thanks for the serious response. No it is definitely not running. I also didn't change anything from when my internet was working til the problem occurred. ytorrent is still downloading fast too... it doesn't make any sense. And that makes two of us my provider hasn't called me back yet and its been a week and a half. But like I was saying this just happened after I closed ytorrent the other week I didn't change any settings all I did was close ytorrent.

Whereabouts are you (country) and which ISP are you using..?

Can you try going to speedtest.net ( Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test ) and run a test so that we can see what the actual machine/web is like..?

Have you called the ISP to see what they think the situation is now..??

You need to help us to help you...
